All applicants are encouraged to read the guide as linked above. Selected portions are provided below.
Taking the Exam
- Time to take exam: Two (2) hours
- Style of Exam: 40 true/false or multiple-choice questions on the subject of Ethics
- Exam Material:
- Questions on the exam are permutated from the study material documents.
- It is important that candidates read all study guide material provided in preparation for the examination.
- Passing Score: A minimum passing score of 70% is required to earn the Certified Kentucky Paralegal credential.
Applying for the Exam
- Registration Fee: $100.00
- Where to send the completed application: Fully completed application, registration fee, and supporting documentation may be mailed to the below address. Our address is unable to accept certified mail. Do not send via Certified Mail. Any mail sent certified is returned to sender by USPS.

- Postmark Date: Applications are deemed received as of the postmark date.
- Review of Application: Applications are reviewed by the KPA Certification Committee (KPACC). Applicants can expect a response to their application within 2-4 weeks of the post-mark date. Response will be sent via email.
