KENTUCKY PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION

WESTERN KENTUCKY PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION

Western Kentucky Paralegals was formed in 1992, with the goal of establishing fellowship among association members, the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), Kentucky Paralegal Association (KPA), and members of the legal community. We promote continuing legal education and certification for our members.

WKP participates in a number of community service events each year. WKP has remained a strong force in the Western Kentucky legal community since its formation to present. We currently have 24 members.

WKP meets monthly and offers CLEs at most meetings during the year. We have had CLE presentations recently on Criminal Law update, Ethics for Paralegals, and Kentucky’s Safe Haven for Infants Laws.

In December WKP will hold its member appreciation/Christmas party with a night of food, games, fun and fellowship.

Since our new fiscal year began in June, we have donated monetarily to Bright Life Farms (a residential center for disabled adults in Marion, KY) and to Dancin’ Divas (who dance with proceeds going to Norton’s Childrens Hospital). We will collect food items for a local food pantry during October and November.

Mark your calendars for Friday, May 3, 2024 for WKP’s Annual Meeting to be held at Lakeland Event Center in Calvert City, KY. The all-day event will offer CLEs on a variety of topics presented by various local attorneys.
